A 2x2 scenario matrix is a simple visual tool that helps leaders explore four different versions of the future instead of betting on a single forecast. It works by placing two of your most important and most uncertain forces of change on the horizontal and vertical axes , then describing what the world looks like in each of the four resulting quadrants. This creates four distinct, plausible scenarios that make it easier to see risks, opportunities, and strategic options.
